I make any kind of tailor-made footwear, both modern and traditional handicraft production with leather processing.
All the work is entirely hand-sewn: in Maremma product line the uppers are secured together with machine stitching, but also firmly secured by handmade stitching.
For the insoles and the rubber outer sole the stitching is entirely handmade as you can see from the photos; this also applies to the classic line.
In the Middle Ages the stitching had to be hidden to avoid to have it worn out. A pair of shoes in that period was very expensive, therefore they were supposed to last for long periods of time. Then the stiching that I make on this type of product are: upper assembly with handmade stitching; uppers + insole + sole made by machine and hidden in the under-sole by another leather insole, or also in rubber on demand.
For the Maremma product line I produce: classic boots, also called “Derby”, in all heights, work and riding boots, buttero (cowboy) boots.
For the classic line: English and French style shoes, “Clark” and any kind of shoe to your liking.
For the historical line product I create shoes of the 1200 style and the 1300 style, both for man and woman, with different patterns for common people, for the chevaliers and for nobles.
How to order tailor-made footwears from home.
To make tailor-made footwear I need a pattern of your feet.
Put your foot on a piece of paper and draw the outline. With a tailor tape measures the circumference of the widest part of the plant and of the highest part of the instep.. Send us these documents via email or postal mail, and I’ll be able to create the perfect shoe for you!
